Marketers plan to increase spending on social display ads

A majority of marketers say they plan to increase their spending on display ads on social networks during the next 12 months, according to an Advertiser Perceptions study. About 3 in 10 say they'll increase their spending on ad networks and publisher sites. "Social display advertising's relative underutilization compared to the rest of the Web is encouraging marketers to ramp up their spending," said eMarketer analyst David Hallerman.
