Mass. to offer retirement plans to nonprofit workers

Massachusetts Treasurer Steven Grossman will sponsor a defined-contribution retirement plan for an estimated 35,000 to 45,000 employees of small nonprofit organizations. The move is intended to help employees of nonprofit groups that lack the resources to provide retirement assistance. Gov. Deval Patrick signed the legislation into law Friday.
