An overall healthy diet with a combination of nutrients can help fight disease, says registered dietitian Colleen Doyle, director of nutrition for the American Cancer Society and co-author of the "Great American Eat Right Cookbook." Among her super-foods for nutrition are brown rice and whole-wheat pasta, tuna and salmon, broccoli, beans and apples.
