Ga. ports' cargo volumes climb 6.9% in February YoY

Total freight volume at Georgia's ports increased 6.9% to 147,650 tons in February versus year-ago levels, according to the Georgia Ports Authority. The Port of Brunswick recorded a 30.4% increase in auto/machinery shipments last month, while the Port of Savannah's 20-foot equivalent container volume rose 2.3% in the same period, GPA said.
