Historian reveals role Indianapolis played in rock music's birth

Music historian Preston Lauterbach makes the case that Indianapolis played a pivotal role in the birth of rock and roll. He tells the story of late music entrepreneur Denver Ferguson, who Lauterbach says was a pioneer in music who booked many African-American performers in his Sunset Terrace club on Indiana Avenue, as well as in clubs throughout the South and Midwest.
