N.Y. lawmakers to rewrite teacher-evaluation law

Leaders of New York's Legislature and Gov. Andrew Cuomo said they have agreed to changes that will ensure that existing teacher-evaluation systems can be used even after agreements between teachers' unions and school districts expire. The change is separate from deadlocked negotiations over teacher evaluations between the New York City school system and the United Federation of Teachers.
