Study: Cognitive impairment linked to dementia in Parkinson's

Mild cognitive impairment in patients with early Parkinson's disease is linked to a higher risk of developing dementia, according to research from Stavanger University Hospital in Norway. The study, reported in JAMA Neurology, noted mild cognitive impairment is common in Parkinson's. Criteria for defining the condition have been laid out but are not yet validated.
