Texas farmer uses propane-powered machine to keep peaches warm

Texas peach farmer Russ Studebaker is using burning hay and a 50-foot-tall propane-powered wind machine to keep his crops warm. Temperatures in the area have dipped below freezing this month, and Studebaker has gotten creative to protect his crops. "We'll use that heat from the hay and use a helicopter, and a wind machine to push the inversion layer back down into the orchard. It revolves every four and a half minutes. It pushes air around the orchard from a tower," he said.
