Microunits could boost Austin's affordable-housing stock

In an effort to increase its stock of affordable housing, Austin, Texas, is mulling changes to size and parking regulations to make it easier to build microunits, or apartments under 500 square feet. Austin City Council Member Chris Riley has proposed changes to allow the units, which he wants to see built on transit corridors.
