California Language Program Brings Parents, Students Together

Anaheim's Thomas Edison Elementary School has launched a program in which parents can attend classes with their children. The program, called English Academy, has been praised by educators who say parental presence makes children participate more in class. The program is designed for non-English speaking students who have recently arrived in the U.S.
