Analysts say other private-equity groups will go public

A number of industry watchers are expecting private-equity groups to follow in the large footsteps of the Blackstone Group and offer initial public offerings. Robert Lee, an analyst at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, said there were a number of reasons for alternative-asset managers and private-equity funds to list, including increasing complexity in the business, regulatory issues and succession challenges.
