Educational video games may help motivate students

Studying students who quickly give up on schoolwork, but can sit in front of a gaming console for hours in a quest for higher scores, may hold a key to student motivation. Whether video games have a future in classrooms or simply can provide insight into student learning is the aim of a study to be funded by a $50 million grant from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
