Solar power project to anchor high-density, green Calif. community

Codding Enterprises is planning a high-density community on a 200-acre former high-tech campus in Rohnert Park, Calif., to feature the latest principles in green technology. The $1 billion Sonoma Mountain Village will include 1,900 housing units and 750,000 square feet of commercial space. Codding has already spent $7.5 million to build what has been called the largest privately funded solar power installation in Northern California.
