Blood thinner Pradaxa gets EU commission's OK

Pradaxa, Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH's blood-thinning drug, has been approved by the European Commission for use in preventing blood clots following orthopedic surgery. The company said the drug will be available in the U.K. and Germany soon.
