Briggs & Stratton launches contest for ball fields

Briggs & Stratton Corp. is sponsoring a "diamond in the rough" competition for ball fields in need of a cleanup. The company is inviting school-aged children to submit essays or videos on how playing baseball or softball has helped them overcome challenges. Regional winners will get a lawn mower to maintain their local field and will compete for an additional $5,000 in field improvements.
