Ethicon asks FDA to clear sedation system

Ethicon Endo-Surgery, a unit of Johnson & Johnson, is seeking FDA pre-market approval for its Sedasys computer-assisted sedation system. The device is designed to help doctors and nurses deliver the sedative propofol to people undergoing screening procedures such as colonoscopy, the company said.
