Frito-Lay wants consumers to know how green it is

PepsiCo's Frito-Lay is positioning itself as an eco-friendly brand with a multimedia campaign promoting the company's sustainability efforts. Frito-Lay soon will use solar energy to produce as much as 75% of electricity at its SunChips factory in Modesto, Calif., is buying renewable energy credits and plans to revisit its manufacturing systems to consume less water and power.
