Luxury hotels make up big portion of new brands

The luxury hotel market is filling up with new competition, and as many as 20 of the 38 hotel brands introduced in the U.S. in the past 38 months were luxury brands, according to PricewaterhouseCoopers. Existing hotels are also upgrading their own luxury offerings to match the preferences of consumers who may have upgraded their own homes to higher standards.
