Northrop says anti-missile system is ready for airlines

Northrop Grumman said it has finished testing an anti-missile defense system for commercial airliners. The company said the system, which uses lasers to confuse and redirect heat-seeking missiles, is ready to be installed on commercial jetliners. The federal government and the airlines must decide if the system is deployed, Northrop says.
