California's Salinas Airport to receive $2.7M in stimulus funds

Officials at Salinas Municipal Airport in California learned this week they will receive a $2.7 million Airport Improvement Program grant as part of the $787 billion Economic Recovery Act through the federal Department of Transportation. The grant adds to a previously approved $1.5 million grant, giving the airport $4.2 million for runway and taxiway upgrades.
