Cuomo broadens AIG investigation to include CDS deals

New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo said he is turning his inquiry into American International Group in the direction of finding out whether AIG's credit default swap contracts have "become a vehicle for funneling billions of taxpayer dollars to capitalize banks all over the world." Cuomo issued subpoenas for CDS data to determine whether it was proper to pay taxpayer funds to Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Societe Generale and other financial institutions.
