Sources: AOL to take regional approach with sales strategy

AOL, as part of a shift to a geographic-based sales approach, is cutting its "property" and "category" sales groups, according to sources. The shift, which was detailed in a memo by Platform-A President Greg Coleman, includes the promotion of Chris Maccaro, vice president of property sales, to helm sales efforts in New York. Brent Spitzer, a regional vice president with Platform-A, is leaving.
