Southwest, flight attendants in tentative contract deal

Following 10 months of negotiation, Southwest Airlines has reached a tentative deal that would provide some 9,700 flight attendants with increased pay and retirement benefits. A union official said the pay raises were mandatory for three years, then tied to the company's profitability in year four. Southwest said it was pleased with the "mutually beneficial contract."
