Treasury reluctant to say how much of TARP is left

The Treasury has not provided any official accounting of TARP funds, but Dow Jones Newswires estimated that less than $53 billion remains. While the Treasury is striving to bring about "a new era of accountability, transparency and conditions," officials are reluctant to disclose how much money is left in the Troubled Asset Relief Program.
