Analysis: America's economic recovery is progressing

The unemployment numbers are nothing to celebrate, but a recent upward revision of gross domestic product by the Bureau of Economic Analysis indicates that the U.S. is on the road to recovery, according to The Economist. The bureau said GDP increased at an annual rate of 3.1% in the fourth quarter. The previous estimate was 2.8%. "Unfortunately, unemployment rates remain remarkably high," the magazine noted. "But progress is progress."
