Md. after-school program focuses on STEM learning

A 10-week after-school program in Baltimore, Md., is aimed at encouraging students' interest in science, technology, engineering and math. The 90-minute classes include experiments, hands-on lessons and discussions with STEM professionals. The goal is to improve students' problem-solving and research skills. "We want to ignite that spark that shows them they can be scientists," teacher Susan Ciavolino said.
