Burger King's biggest franchisee to buy 278 units

Carrols Restaurant Group will acquire 278 more Burger King restaurants in seven states in exchange for $15.8 million and a 28.9% equity stake, the company said Monday. The deal, which will give Burger King's largest franchisee a total of 575 units, is contingent upon Carrols closing a deal to sell its Pollo Tropical and Taco Cabana restaurants.
