Ala. city council bans display of offensive merchandise

The Orange Beach, La., City Council has approved an ordinance that bars stores from displaying offensive merchandise, after Mayor Tony Kennon saw T-shirts and other items that are not in line with the city's family-friendly reputation. "We have the ability to say, 'This is what we consider the standards of the community, and this where we draw the line,' " he said.
