Del. SNA chapter talks nutrition standards at conference

About 400 school nutrition professionals recently attended the Delaware School Nutrition Association's 2013 Spring Conference, hosted by the Seaford School District's nutrition services department. Discussion during the event centered around new U.S. Department of Agriculture standards for school meals. Nutrition professionals also focused on efforts to provide more fresh fruits and vegetables for students -- with attendees taking a tour of a school garden.
