Employer group finds lagging progress on value-based care models

Efforts to move away from a fee-for-service health care model to one that rewards quality have made little progress, a coalition of 21 U.S. employers finds. The Catalyst for Payment Reform analyzed insurance claims data and found that less than 11% of health care spending in 2012 was based on value instead of service volume.
