Ill. district considers changes to early-intervention model

School officials in an Illinois district recently announced a plan to transition some special-education teachers into a role in which they will provide early interventions to all students who need extra help. The new initiative -- known as response to intervention -- has some parents and advocates worried, but officials say the change will not affect the delivery of special-education services.
