Oncology group to boost cancer care through CancerLinQ database

The American Society of Clinical Oncology unveiled a prototype of a cancer database, known as CancerLinQ, that will gather and assess "de-identified" information from 100,000 breast cancer patients. The group expects to offer real-time and quality feedback to doctors. "CancerLinQ will transform cancer care by unlocking that wealth of information and enabling every patient to be a cancer knowledge donor," said ASCO President Dr. Sandra M. Swain.
