Providers increasingly seek NPs, PAs, firm says

Research from temporary staffing firm Staff Care revealed health care provider requests for nurse practitioners and physician assistants grew from less than 2% of requests in 2010 to more than 10% last year. The trend reflects shortages in physicians as well as in NPs and PAs, said Staff Care official Bonnie Owens.
