UN panel moves toward unified goals on post-2015 development

Sustainability in economics and environment, as well as societal aims and a reduction in inequality, are shaping up to be part of a unified agenda for the United Nations' post-2015 development goals to replace the Millennium Development Goals. A UN panel expressed the "need to strengthen global governance to ensure it is fit for its purpose; avoid overlap and the duplication of efforts; and encourage joint work to address cross-cutting issues."
