Exclamation marks are not the enemy, linguist says

Exclamation marks suffer a poor reputation in official correspondence, but that could be changing. Linguist Naomi Baron says today's young people use exclamation marks far more freely than previous generations. "There can be lots of power in emotional markers. They're not necessarily a bad thing," Baron notes.
