Microchip offers low-power touch controller

Microchip Technology has introduced the MTCH6102 projected-capacitive touch controller, which it says can operate in active mode on 12 microamperes. Applications for the chip include a variety of wearable electronics, such as fitness wristbands and smart watches, along with game devices, remote controls and track pads, according to the company.
