Plagiarism Debacle Fuels Drive To Remove Board Members

Some parents in Kansas' Piper School District March 26 filed a petition to oust three school board members who participated in the decision to reverse teacher Christine Pelton's failing of 28 students suspected of plagiarism. If the district attorney approves the petition, the parents have 90 days to collect signatures for a recall election. Pelton resigned in December after the school board awarded partial credit to students she had failed.
