Shell Planning Natural Gas Terminal South Of The Border

Shell is planning to build a $500-million liquid natural gas facility, a regasification system and a pipeline in Baja California, the company says. It is the fourth such proposal for the area, with plans by El Paso, Marathon Oil and Sempra Energy already being considered. The area reportedly is popular because of its proximity to Southern California and natural-gas-fed power plants in Baja.
