Communications companies form network security alliance

A group of global communications companies including BT, Cisco Systems and EarthLink today are expected to announce a plan to begin sharing information about network-based hacker attacks. The group will use technology from security company Arbor Networks and plans to focus on denial-of-service attacks, which have begun to threaten even the largest and most sophisticated companies.
