McDonald's has hired Maven Strategies to reach out to hip-hop artists to try to get the burger chain's signature sandwich, the Big Mac, shouted out by name in rap lyrics. Artists will submit lyrics to McDonald's for approval, and if endorsed, will receive payments ranging from $1 to $5 each time the song is broadcast on the radio.
