Test allows for less-painful leukemia assessment

A new set of tests developed by Quest Diagnostics offers the chance to test for some forms of leukemia and lymphoma without the need for conducting painful bone-marrow biopsies. The new method bypasses the extraction of cancerous cells from tissue inside the bones and instead checks blood plasma for specific debris from the cancer cells.
