Double Tamiflu dose for flu to be tested in U.S., Southeast Asia

Physicians on two continents will test giving double doses of Tamiflu to H5N1 avian flu patients or patients with severe seasonal flu. The trials in the U.S. and in Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam aim to determine if doubling the standard daily treatment to 150 mg twice daily for 10 days would extend lives beyond the current 60% mark.
