With research showing more than 70% of Second Life users aren't impressed by the ads in the virtual reality game, marketers must do more than just repurpose material from traditional media. "If you are not authentic and do not offer anything to the community, you are likely to be ignored," said Catherine Smith, director of marketing for Linden Labs, the site's creator.
