Wis. seeks to extend drug program competing with Medicare

Wisconsin's governor is urging the Legislature to extend the state's program of offering low-income seniors a drug-access alternative to Medicare. The CMS is pressuring the state against offering its own program, but Gov. Jim Doyle said Wisconsin's system is easier to administer, reduces drug costs and has no coverage gap.
