Salt Lake City to keep commitment to partners, change registry name

Salt Lake City will keep its registry for domestic partners, but is likely to give it a new name: mutual commitment registry. The proposed name change was prompted by some state lawmakers, who believe the use of the term "domestic partners" violates the state's constitutional marriage ban, which also prohibits civil unions.
