Verizon Wireless, FCC get down to business on spectrum bid

An FCC spokesman says he fully expects Verizon Wireless to meet conditions attached to its winning $4.74 billion bid for a block of wireless spectrum in the recent FCC auction. Verizon has embraced an open-access network, but the FCC and Verizon must still agree on rules to interpret the proviso, according to this analysis.
