Opinion: Boys, girls can achieve at same level

A recent report show boys lagging behind female classmates in reading and girls closing the achievement gap in math. But neuroscientist Lise Eliot and education journalist Richard Whitmire dispute assertions that boys' and girls' brains are different and write that boys are capable of achieving just as much as their female classmates. The answer, they write, is to work harder to engage boys in learning and make school a positive place for them.
