Dawson B. "Tack" Nail, a longtime veteran covering the business of broadcasting in Washington, has died at age 82. Nail reported and commented on the industry for more than 50 years, beginning as a rewrite man for Broadcasting magazine in the mid-1950s, now Broadcasting & Cable. "We celebrate the life of a reporter whose decency, integrity and simple kindness were unmatched," said Dennis Wharton, spokesman of the National Association of Broadcasters.
