CTIA letters to FCC and NTIA on implementation of spectrum legislation

After our spectrum victory last month, CTIA President and CEO Steve Largent sent letters to the Federal Communications Commission and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, calling on them to work jointly to conduct auctions of broadcast television spectrum and 30 MHz of additional spectrum in time to meet the National Broadband Plan's goal of bringing 300 MHz of spectrum to market by 2015. For the FCC's consideration, the letter also offers proposed timelines for conducting these auctions, highlighting the importance of moving quickly in order to meet the National Broadband Plan's goals and to address the well-recognized spectrum needs of U.S. consumers.
