Report: Jobless rate could drop to 6% next year

A Federal Reserve Bank of New York study predicts that the U.S. jobless rate could drop from the current 8.3% to as low as 6% by the first half of 2013. "Simulations based on historical patterns suggest that the fall in the unemployment rate could be quicker than many forecasters predict," says economist Aysegul Sahin.
